Ethan Salas, C, Padres: We’re four games into July and Salas is already having the best month of his professional career. On Thursday Salas went 2-for-4 with two home runs to run his home run streak to three games. After a difficult June, Salas looks to be turning a corner at the plate.

Jackson Chourio, OF, Brewers: It was a huge night for the prodigious Brewers prospect. He collected two extra-base hits—a 112 mph double and a home run. This is a welcome sign for Chourio, as he’s been on a cold streak of late. Chourio is still one of the top prospects in the game and he showed why on Thursday.

Michael Arias, RHP, Cubs: A former Blue Jays infielder who was released by Toronto, Arias has found his calling on the mound. He possesses a mid-90s sinker, a changeup and a slider. On Thursday he combined with three other pitchers to no-hit Peoria. Arias is looking the part of a breakout pitcher in 2023.

Brainer Bonaci, SS, Red Sox: Over the past few months, Bonaci has quietly been one of the better hitters in the South Atlantic League. On Thursday he went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. While the switch-hitter has no true standout skill, he has a good combination of contact, approach and power, culminating in a strong overall hitting profile.

Blade Tidwell, RHP, Mets: Over his last six starts, Tidwell has been excellent. He continued his inspired performance on Thursday, tossing six innings, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out 11 batters. This was Tidwell’s second consecutive start with 11 strikeouts and his fourth double-digit strikeout game of the season. Tidwell relies heavily on a plus slider and a mid-90s fastball to miss bats.
