LONG BEACH—Three Brewers pitchers—Matthew Sauer, Sam Glick and Zachary Pettway—made Area Code Games history Wednesday by recording the first no-hitter in 30 years of the Games.

Righthander Sauer (Righetti High, Santa Maria, Calif.), lefthander Glick (El Toro (Calif.) High) and righthander Pettway (Long Beach (Calif.) Wilson High) combined for 11 strikeouts in seven innings in an 8-0 win over the previously undefeated White Sox. Sauer started the game and went three innings, Glick pitched the middle two, and Pettway closed the game.

“I was feeling a little bit of pressure,” Pettway said. Glick said he wanted to stay within himself throughout his two innings.

BA’s Hudson Belinsky said Glick had an easy and loose delivery from the left side, including a fastball he used to work both sides of the plate.

Garrett Mitchell of the Brewers opened the scoring with two RBIs in the first inning.
