Which MiLB Teams Win, Lose The Most?

The 2026 MiLB season is getting underway for Class A and Double-A leagues on the heels of last week’s Triple-A openers.

While wins and losses are not as important as player development for MiLB teams, they still want to win. And there are a few teams that, year after year, have done that better than anyone else.

With that in mind, we looked at the best win-loss records for MiLB teams over the past 10 years (2016-2025). That is actually only nine seasons, as the 2020 season was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Trenton Thunder have the best overall winning percentage, but there is an asterisk to that. Trenton lost its Double-A Yankees affiliation to Somerset for the 2021 season, so it only has four seasons on the ledger.

The best club that is still an active affiliated team is High-A Bowling Green for the Rays. The Hot Rods have won 59% of their games over the past nine seasons, and they have the best run differential (+1,221), as well. Somerset has the third-best record, so it can be said that the Yankees’ Double-A affiliates combined would have the second-best winning percentage (.588).

At the other end of the standings, we find a now-defunct club in the basement. The less remembered about the Florida Fire Frogs, the better. Their ownership issues and MiLB’s struggles to fix them were a bone of contention leading into the 2020 MLB/MiLB negotiations.

Back to the good teams, where the Rays and Yankees stand out for their consistent success. The Rays’ current High-A affiliate ranks second, and its Double-A Montgomery affiliate ranks sixth, while Triple-A Durham ranks seventh.

The Yankees have both Double-A affiliates at No. 1 and No. 3, as well as Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre at No. 4 and High-A Hudson Valley is fifth.

Among clubs that are still operating, the Stockton Ports, Tri-City Dust Devils and Charlotte Knights have been the least successful.

To qualify for this list, a team must have played at least 500 full-season games since 2016. Teams with less than that were excluded.
