Last season, Red Sox catcher Franklin Primera was one of Boston’s finest pop-up prospects in the low minors. Now, he’s one of their better prospects, period. After moving stateside this season, Primera has pummeled the competition in the Florida Complex League. That stretch continued Thursday, when Primera doubled and homered in his team’s loss to the Orioles. The home run was his third of the year, and the game was his sixth of the season with two or more hits. Overall, he’s slashing .411/.558/.625 with twice as many walks (16) as strikeouts (eight).
