THE STARS: Yankees outfielder Estevan Florial is the clear headliner of this group. Thanks to a breakout season and a few trades, he should wind up near the top of the Yankees’ prospect rankings. He flourished as a 19-year-old in the South Atlantic League in his first full season and showed the ability to stay in center field long-term with an above-average arm, well-above average speed and enough power to project for 20-plus home runs in the major leagues.  . . . Giants righthander Tyler Beede has taken a step back this year, but he’s still among San Francisco’s best prospects. He’s dropped down to the 91-93 mph range with his fastball from the mid-90s version he showed last year and has struggled a little bit with his command as well. He can regain some of his stock with a strong AFL. . . . Mets catcher Tomas Nido has had an up-and-down season but the Mets still like him as a catcher who can contribute on both sides of the ball in the major leagues one day.

INTERESTING: Yankees infielder Thairo Estrada flew under the radar to open the season but a strong year in Double-A has put him on the map in a stacked system. He’s capable of playing both middle-infield positions and has high contact abilities with gap power and above-average running ability. . . . Mets middle infielder Luis Guillorme has some of the fastest hands in the system, plays stellar defense and has walked more times (69) than he’s struck out (54) this season while compiling a .379 on-base percentage. . . . Giants righthander Tyler Cyr has been stellar this season out of the Richmond bullpen. He works with a mid-90s fastball as well as well as a splitter and a breaking ball. He’s struck out 55 hitters in 47.1 innings but could stand to iron his command some.

REHABBING: Yankees hurlers Justus Sheffield and Dillon Tate are near the top of the pack of the organization’s prospects, but both have had injuries short-circuit their seasons. Sheffield has missed significant time with an oblique strain and Tate dealt with a balky shoulder toward the beginning of the year. … Giants outfielder Steven Duggar has been limited to just 38 games this season with hamstring and elbow injuries.
