Farinaro is 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds with decent athleticism and agility. His fastball sits in the 88-91 mph range, and while he has touched 94 this spring, he doesn't offer much projection. He throws a tight, mid-70s curveball, and needs to improve his changeup and control. He is a quick worker and pitches from an over-the-top arm slot. Scouts like Farinaro's makeup but aren't in love with his delivery. He pitches with some effort and lands on stiff front side, making it difficult for him to pitch down in the zone. Some think he'll wind up in the bullpen, so a team is unlikely to steer him away from UCLA.
