Lynch is a 6-foot-3, 235-pound righthander who mostly pitched out of the bullpen for North Carolina in his 2025 freshman season. He forced his way into the starting rotation during the postseason, and overall posted a 3.08 ERA over 61.1 innings with a 27.5% strikeout rate and 9.4% walk rate. Lynch has a workhorse frame with lots of strength, and he attacks hitters from a low three-quarters slot and extremely low release height. He averaged 94 mph on his fastball and touched 97, with plenty of armside run. Lynch pairs the fastball with a hard, mid-80s sweeping slider that had more than 13 inches of gloveside movement. He’s mostly a two-pitch pitcher at the moment and will need to add depth to his arsenal to help him profile as a starter in pro ball. Lynch pitched with Team USA in 2025, but struggled in just two appearances and 3.1 innings of relief. -
