View Draft Report
A former two-way player, Shaw has focused solely on pitching since 2024. He was the centerpiece of Yale’s rotation this spring and pitched to a 3.13 ERA with 80 strikeouts to 24 walks across 77.2 innings. Shaw attacks from a tough-to-pick-up low three-quarters—borderline sidearm—slot and features a low-90s fastball, a high-70s changeup and a low-80s slider. His fastball flashes natural run to the arm side, while both his changeup and slider are effective swing-and-miss offerings. The former has no shortage of fade to the arm side, while the latter regularly flashes plenty of lateral life with some depth. Shaw is an above-average strike thrower who could be most effective as a reliever
