Wildfire Rages Near High Desert Game

As a wildfire raged 20 miles from Heritage Field in Adelanto, Calif., high class A Lancaster and High Desert played a game Tuesday. According to photos taken by Jason Schwartz, the JetHawks’ radio broadcaster, chunks of ash fell onto Heritage Field.

According to reports, the ballpark is located just outside a mandatory evacuation zone. Some 85,000 people were told to evacuate because of the fire, which claimed 9,000 acres, according to reports.
