White Sox Area Code Roster

The White Sox unveiled their 2016 team to represent the Midwest region at the Area Code Baseball Games in Long Beach, Calif. on Aug. 6-10. Standouts from last year’s White Sox team include MLB draft picks Riley Pint, Ben Rortvedt and Gavin Lux.

This year, the White Sox roster boasts a number of high-ceiling, must-follow outfield prospects and a cadre of projectable young pitchers. In the outfield, Jordon Adell and Conner Uselton have shown massive potential thus far this summer, with extraordinary measurable tools in their arm strength and raw speed, though both have yet to really blossom offensively in game action.

On the bump, towering southpaw Mitchell Stone is one of the more mesmerizing players in the 2017 class. He’s shown a well-coordinated and balanced delivery and the ability to navigate the strike zone, despite a 6-foot-10 frame. Other projectable pitchers on the roster include Sam Carlson, Brady Corrigan, Austin Marozas, Jackson Rutledge and two-way prospect Adell, to name a few.

Alek Thomas is the lone underclassman on this year’s roster. He played on the team last year, and has shown exceptional speed and contact skills for such a young player. Thomas has also participated in this summer’s Tournament of Stars and the Breakthrough Series.
