Royals Area Code Games Roster

The Royals unveiled their 2016 team to represent the Northwest region at the Area Code Baseball Games in Long Beach, Calif., on Aug. 6-10. Standouts from last year’s Northwest Royals included MLB draft picks Christian Jones, Brady Whalen and Josh Burgmann, among others.

The Area Code Games provide an important opportunity for players from the Northwest to showcase their talents on a national stage. The region is scarcely represented at many of the other stops along the amateur scouting circuit, making the Area Code Games that much more important. The top Northwestern players often distinguish themselves in Long Beach.
