It was reported on Saturday that the Baltimore Orioles will recall third baseman Coby Mayo from Triple-A Norfolk. First reported by Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Banner, Mayo is expected to join the team today while Ramon Urias deals with a hamstring injury. Mayo was hitting .252/.346/.523 with six home runs over 28 games for Triple-A Norfolk this season. This is Mayo’s third stint in the majors over the last two seasons. In Mayo’s previous experience he’s struggled to make an impact as he struck out in 47.8% of his plate appearances.
