Prospect Report: Horton, Hurter Lead AA Teams to Titles

Cade Horton, RHP, Cubs: Horton was in dominant form to lead the Tennessee Smokies to the Southern League title. Horton allowed just one hit and one run in five innings as the Smokies beat Pensacola 10-3 to sweep the best-of-3 championship series.
Brant Hurter, LHP, Tigers: Hurter threw seven scoreless innings as Erie shutout Binghamton 10-0 to claim the Eastern League championship. Jake Holton hit two home runs to pace Erie’s lineup. This is Erie’s first Eastern League title, which they celebrated in front of a sellout home crowd.
Kyle Hurt, RHP, Dodgers: Hurt allowed one run in four innings to help Oklahoma City take a 1-0 lead over Round Rock in the best-of-3 Pacific Coast League championship series. Drew Avans had four hits for Oklahoma City.
Connor Norby, 2B, Orioles: Norby homered for Triple-A Norfolk, but it was not enough as Durham took the first game of the best-of-3 International League championship series.
