Chase Silseth, RHP, Angels: Silseth pitched five innings with three hits and one run allowed, no walks and four strikeouts to pick up the win in the Angels’ 4-1 victory over the Braves. The 23-year-old righthander got the emergency start after Griffin Canning was scratched with general soreness and has now held the Yankees and Braves to one run in consecutive starts.

Gunnar Henderson, 3B, Orioles: Henderson hit his 17th home run of the season to help lead the Orioles to a 4-2 win over the Blue Jays. The 22-year-old third baseman got an 87 mph cutter from Chris Bassitt in off the plate and sent it 387 feet over the right-field fence. Henderson finished July with six home runs, tied for his most of any month this season.

J.P. France, RHP, Astros: France pitched seven innings with two runs allowed to pick up the win in the Astros’ 7-3 victory over the Guardians. The 28-year-old rookie righthander allowed seven hits, walked two and struck out six while improving to 7-3, 2.85 on the year.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand, DH, Reds: Encarnacion-Strand went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored to help lead the Reds to a 6-5 win over the Cubs. The 23-year-old rookie now has seven RBIs in his first 13 games since being called up from Triple-A.
