Career Transactions
Selected by Blue Jays in supplemental first round (46th overall) of 2011 draft; signed June 7, 2011; Traded by Blue Jays with RHPs Francisco Cordero and Asher Wojciechowski, OF Ben Francisco, C Carlos Perez, LHP David Rollins and a player to be named to Astros for RHPs Brandon Lyon and David Carpenter and LHP J.A. Happ, July 20, 2012; Astros acquired RHP Kevin Comer (Aug. 16, 2012).
Background
Musgrove missed time with a sprained rotator cuff and a sprained elbow. But since returning to health, he’s made up for missed time.
What to Watch For
Musgrove has quality stuff–his 92-95 mph fastball and slider are both above average pitches and his changeup is average as well, but all three play up because he has some of the best control in the minors.
