A recounting of minor league transactions, conveyed by MLB, for the period Oct. 31 to Nov. 6, 2023.
A few notes about this installment:
• All players removed from 40-man rosters were assigned outright to Triple-A. Those with a previous outright assignment in their careers had the option to elect free agency under Article XX(D) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Exceptions to the above are Clint Frazier—listed as “other”—and Jay Jackson, who qualifies under Article XX(B), which grants opt-out rights to players who finished the preceding season on a 40-man roster.
• Players added to 40-man rosters would have qualified for minor league free agency had they not been added. Technically, their clubs had no contract renewals remaining and no successor contract in place.
• The designation Signed for 2024 indicates a player assigned to a Dominican Summer League roster.
