Madden Strikes Out Seven Over Five Shutout Innings

Over his first four starts of the season, Tigers RHP Ty Madden has kept Eastern League hitters off balance. On Wednesday, Madden threw five shutout innings against Harrisburg, striking out seven while allowing three hits and a walk. Madden mixes five pitches between his four-seam fastball, slider, cutter, curveball and changeup. With a resurgent Tigers team in the majors, Madden is a potential rotation addition for the club later this summer. A promotion to Triple-A should be imminent for Madden.
