Blue Jays Recall Addison Barger

Addison Barger’s red-hot start to the 2024 season is getting rewarded. Barger, the team’s No. 5 Prospect, was recalled Thursday and is set to make his Blue Jays debut in left field. The move comes after the Blue Jays placed outfielder Kevin Kiermaier on the 10-day injured list with a left hip injury. Barger hit .314/.435/.586 with three homers in 19 games for Triple-A Buffalo and is coming off a particularly strong week, ranking No. 10 in our most recent Hot Sheet. He’ll provide the Blue Jays another versatile piece who can play multiple infield positions in addition to both corner outfield spots.
