Tuesday's Stars

Jesus Luzardo, LHP, Athletics. It's hard to be better than Luzardo has been in his first three outings. Yesterday he picked up six strikeouts in 2.2 scoreless an hitless innings. Luzardo now has 10 strikeouts in only 5.2 innings.

Kyle Wright, RHP, Braves. Wright blitzed through a Yankees lineup that included Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres. Wright allowed two hits in three scoreless innings. He walked no one and struck out three.

Francisco Mejia, C, Padres. Mejia went 3-for-3 with a double and a home run as he raised his average to .500 (7-for-14),

Eloy Jimenez, LF, White Sox. It has been a relatively quiet spring training so far for Jimenez, much like it has been for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Both are likely ticketed for a service-time related demotion when the season begins. Jimenez hit his first home run of the spring, and only his third hit in 17 at-bats.

Zack Collins, C, White Sox. Collins hit his first spring home run yesterday and is now hitting .364 (4-for-11) overall.

Nate Lowe, 1B, Rays. Lowe has hit a long and majestic home run this spring, but so far that's been his only hit. He was hitless in two at-bats yesterday and is 1-for-13 (.077) overall.

Genesis Cabrera, LHP, Cardinals. Cabrera has found out this spring that despite a late-season stint in Triple-A he has some work to do to be ready for St. Louis. Cabrera allowed three hits and a run while picking up only two outs. He has now allowed nine hits in only 2.1 innings this spring.
