Victor Scott II, OF, Cardinals: After tying for the minor league lead in stolen bases, Scott has continued displaying a dynamic skill set in the AFL. He sparked the Scorpions’ win over Peoria on Tuesday by reaching base four times. The West Virginia alum singled twice, walked twice and stole two bases. The swipes gave Scott 18 for the Fall League, pushing into the league lead by one over Mesa’s Caleb Durbin.

Jakob Marsee, OF, Padres: Marsee has put on a show all fall. The Central Michigan product and 2022 sixth-rounder has been lighting up the leaderboards for the last five weeks, and the hot stretch continued on Tuesday. Marsee went 3-for-4 out of the leadoff spot, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. The home run was Marsee’s fifth of the fall, putting him two behind the league leaders. His 11 doubles lead the AFL, and his 34 hits are tied at the top with Mesa’s James Triantos.

Where Will Marsee Rank?

Geoff Pontes examines whether Marsee’s dominant AFL campaign will push him into Top 100 consideration.

Chase DeLauter, OF, Guardians: After recovering from a foot injury that cost him a chunk of the regular season, DeLauter opened enough eyes to land on BA’s Top 100. He has continued crushing the ball in the AFL. On Tuesday, he popped his fifth AFL home run as part of two-hit, one-walk afternoon. DeLauter’s three RBIs gave him 26 for the fall, pushing him past Mesa’s Kevin Alcantara for the league lead.

Abimelec Ortiz, OF, Rangers: Ortiz had one home run in the AFL entering the evening. He tripled that total after Tuesday’s game. Ortiz, who was one of Texas’ bigger breakout prospects of the summer, crushed a pair of dingers in Surprise’s win over Glendale.

Zach Maxwell, RHP, Reds: The massive righthander’s fastball is one of the best individual pitches in the AFL, and it’s helped him deliver an excellent six-week campaign. The Georgia Tech alum struck out two more hitters in his team’s win over Glendale, upping his total two 22 strikeouts in 12.1 innings.
