2021 Detroit Tigers Instructional League Roster

The Tigers are breaking their instructional league into two camps—pitch design and skill acquisition—and have invited a wide array of players from their system. Trade deadline acquisition Reese Olson, who came over from the Brewers, is here, as is righty Beau Brieske. Olson has an intriguing arsenal but needs to iron out his control and command, and Brieske’s 116 strikeouts were the second most in the organization.

The position players are fronted by shortstop Izaac Pacheco, whom the Tigers selected out of high school in Texas in the second round of this year’s draft, as well as powerful outfielder Roberto Campos. Pacheco was taken 39th overall and rated as the No. 36 player available in the class for his potential to have a near-average hit tool and plus power. Campos’ eight home runs tied him for third in the Florida Complex League.
