We present Baseball America’s latest mock draft, just 10 days away from the real deal.
The industry remains committed to the same six or so names at the top of the draft class, but the order they go off the board remains fluid. One thing that hasn’t changed? Our projection that Adley Rutschman will remain wearing black and orange at the pro ranks.
This year’s draft class offers a few pivot points, beginning with how the Reds and Rangers approach things at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.
The D-backs, with four picks in the top 34, hold the keys to the draft, similar to how the Rays and Royals controlled the board last year.
The middle of the first round could get wild. And we’ll have continuous updates in the days to come.
