2018 MLB Draft: Top Prospects From South Dakota

1. Jacob Blank, RHP, Augustanna (BA Rank: )
4YR • Sr. • 6-3 • 205 • R-R • Never Drafted

Blank helped lead Augustanna to the Division II World Series with a 8-0, 1.98 season that saw him strike out 88 batters while walking only 11 in 72.2 innings. That actually was a dip from last year's 10-0, 0.78 junior season. Blank has an 88-93 mph fastball and an ability to spin a breaking ball which makes him a solid senior sign.

2. Tyler Mintzel, RHP, Augustanna (BA Rank: )
4YR • Sr. • 6-4 • 210 • R-R • Never Drafted

Mintzel was a solid wingman for Blank, as the righthander mixed an 88-91 mph fastball with a quality changeup. He was 11-0, 2.09 with a strikeout an inning.

3. Gustaf Radel, RHP, Roosevelt HS, Sioux Falls, S.D. (BA Rank: )
HS

Banged up this year.
