2017 State Draft Report: Utah

CROP RATING | |
![]() |
Solid, not spectacular |
Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states |
No player from Utah has been picked in the top 100 picks since Jacob Hanneman was picked by the Cubs with the 75th pick of the 2014 draft. Lefthander Seth Corry is not a sure bet to go that high this year, but he does give the state the potential of another top 100 pick. After Corry, it’s Utah’s year to represent the state well in the draft.
