Bednar showed impressive quick-twitch ability and bat speed at the 2016 East Coast Pro Showcase, but he lacked balance and swung and missed often, and that trend continued at the South Atlantic Border Battle in the fall. He toned down his leg kick and stride and added strength in the offseason, allowing his power to play more often in the spring. Bednar has above-average bat speed and flashes pull power in games. He's a righthanded-hitting, lefthanded-throwing outfielder with average arm that could get a little bit better because he does have a quick arm. Bednar is an average runner and projects to land in an outfield corner at the pro level. He's a bit undersized and his poor wood bat track record hurts his draft profile, but he could end up being a strong player down the line.
