Beck is probably the tallest pitcher in the 2022 draft class and if drafted he would become one of the tallest pitchers in pro baseball history. He stands 7-feet and is listed at 225 pounds. He throws a fastball in the 89-91 mph range, but the pitch plays up with deception and he has a surprisingly clean delivery considering his size. His breaking ball is a slurvy, loopy curveball in the mid 70s. Beck was a good performer this spring for Division II Saint Leo (Fla.), posting a 3.95 ERA over 13 starts and 68.1 innings, while striking out 105 batters (35.5 K%) and walking 31 (10.5 BB%). Beck has mostly been a starter throughout his college career but could have some interest as a unique look out of the bullpen in the pro game.
