View Draft Report
A 6-foot-2, 170-pound outfielder, Jaworsky is a good athlete with solid tools, including plus speed and average defense in center field, where he has a chance to stick in the long run. His average arm strength should allow him to play all three outfield positions if necessary. Offensively, he’s a below-average hitter with well below-average game power, so his ultimate upside will depend on how his hitting ability and strength develop over the next few years. Jaworsky impressed this spring at the MLB Draft combine and is committed to Utah Valley.

Track Record: The Astros selected Jaworsky from the Colorado prep ranks in the fifth round of the 2023 draft. Jaworsky debuted in the Florida Complex League following the draft and played in nine games. He was assigned to Low-A Fayetteville in 2024, made 78 starts and hit .233/.335/.346 while playing 50 games at shortstop, but his season came to an end on July 31 as he hit the 60-day injured list.
Scouting Report: Jaworsky has an average build with some projection remaining. He’s a twitchy athlete but lacks impact in his frame. In his full-season debut, Jaworsky showed advanced bat-to-ball skills and limited swing and miss, particularly in the strike zone. He has an aggressive approach and looks to put the ball in play, which leads to him expanding the zone, particularly against breaking balls and offspeed. Jaworsky’s power is well below-average, as he doesn’t hit the ball hard or with much loft, leading to lots of groundball contact. Jaworsky is a plus runner whose speed translates to a high rate of successful stolen base attempts and range at shortstop. Jaworsky is an above-average defender at shortstop with an above-average arm due to his throwing accuracy.
The Future: Jaworsky has a utility infielder profile with speed and a contact-first approach. He could develop into a useful bench piece in the coming years.
Scouting Grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 30 | Run: 60 | Field: 55 | Arm: 55.
