Woodward missed most of the 2023 season with an injury, but was effective in his three starts. He pitched his way to a 1.32 ERA with 18 strikeouts in his 13.2 innings. Woodward’s fastball sits in the 91-94 mph range, but he can rear back to add a couple extra ticks of velocity. It explodes out of his hand and has plenty of riding life through the zone. His best offering is his changeup, which is a true plus pitch. He maintains his hand speed well, and it is a pitch that has ample tumble and some fade.
