View Draft Report
Bostick is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound righthanded pitcher who had one of the best individual seasons of any Junior College arm. He pitched his way to a 2.52 ERA with 103 strikeout in 60.2 innings pitched. Bostick followed up his excellent spring with four starts in the Cape Cod League in which he struck out 21 across 18 innings. Bostick’s best offering is his mid-90s fastball which sits in the 94-98 mph range and had an impressive 34% miss rate on the Cape. His slider has tight spin and flashes plus. There are parts to his delivery that will need to be refined, but Bostick is an exciting arm talent with plenty of upside.

BA Grade/Risk: 45/Average
Adjusted Grade: 35
Track Record: Bostick’s collegiate journey took him to three schools, finally stopping at Grayson JC in Texas in 2023. He was a two-way player as an amateur, and the Giants drafted him as a pitcher in the eighth round and signed him for $397,500. He spent all of 2024 in Low-A and all of 2025 at High-A.
Scouting Report: Bostick’s mix and usage patterns went through a refinement period in 2025. Toward the second half of the year he got more comfortable relying on pitches other than his fastball, which has the kind of shape the Giants like their arms to utilize up in the zone. He complemented the heater with a sweeper against righties and a deep-breaking curveball against lefthanders. He rounds out the mix with a split-change that plays against hitters on both sides of the plate. There’s a chance the mix winnows in 2026, with the curveball possibly being deemphasized in favor of the changeup as the primary weapon against lefties. Scouts also noticed that Bostick will sometimes slow his arm on his offspeed pitches, which will need to be corrected as he faces savvier hitters.
The Future: Bostick will face his biggest test yet in 2026, when he heads to Double-A Richmond as part of the team’s inaugural season at CarMax Park. If he can get his changeup to its full potential, he could be a back-end starter or bulk reliever.

BA Grade/Risk: 45/High.
Track Record: Bostick’s college career—which also saw him get reps at shortstop and center field—took him from Texas to Florida and then back to Texas. His final stop was at Grayson JC in 2023, when he struck out 103 hitters in 60.2 innings. The Giants drafted him in the eighth round and signed him for $397,500. He got his feet wet in Rookie ball before spending all of 2024 at Low-A San Jose.
Scouting Report: The gem of Bostick’s arsenal is a mid-90s fastball that peaked at 99 mph and averaged 20 inches of induced vertical break. He pounded the zone with the pitch, racking up a strike rate of 68%. Bostick complements the fastball with a pair of breaking balls that blend together and a changeup which shows solid drop and gives him an excellent weapon against lefthanders. To get the changeup to the next level, he needs to throw it with the same arm speed as his other pitches. One of Bostick’s goals going forward is to give his slider and curveball more separation from one another. He also needs to find the zone more often with all of his offspeeds—his changeup led the way in that department with a 61% strike rate. The Giants would also like to see him perform better when pitching out of the stretch and become more diligent holding runners.
The Future: Bostick has a solid mix of pitches and plenty of athleticism and room to grow. He’s got a lot of ceiling and projection remaining and could one day fit in the back of a rotation.
