As a draft-eligible sophomore, Abner became one of the key relievers on Florida’s College World Series team and he went 3-0, 3.16 with three saves. His fastball gets up to 95 mph with rising life and he mixes in both a sweeping slider and a solid changeup. He has a strong build at 6-foot-1, 230 pounds and has a chance to develop as a starter (a role he pitched in during the Cape Cod League), though he’ll need to refine his control in that role.
