Freeman has played collegiate seasons with North Georgia (2022), St. John’s River (Fla.) JC (2023), Auburn (2024) and Georgia State (2025). This spring the 6-foot, 200-pound second baseman and outfielder set single-season Georgia State records with 28 doubles and 61 walks. He’s a patient, borderline passive, hitter who swings the bat less than a third of the time, which leads to high walk rates, low chase rates and a lot of middle-middle pitches let go. Overall Freeman slashed .349/.504/.732 with 16 home runs.
