Petrovic was eligible in the 2025 draft, but went unselected after throwing just 18.2 innings with Auburn and averaging just 89 mph with his fastball. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound righthander made a significant leap in stuff and performance in 2026. He posted a 3.21 ERA in 15 starts and 81.1 innings, with a 24.8% strikeout rate and 5.8% walk rate. He added three ticks of velocity to his fastball, averaging 92-93 mph and touching 96 while throwing the pitch for tons of strikes like he always has. In addition to a harder fastball, Petrovic rounds out his arsenal with three solid secondaries that include an above-average changeup around 80 mph, a sweeper in the low 80s and a cutter in the mid 80s.
