A fifth-year senior, Stevens had an excellent finale. He went 9-2, 2.66 with 100 strikeouts in 81.1 innings. Stevens locates his 92-94 mph fastball effectively to all four corners of the strike zone. His knockout punch is his 83-86 mph slider, which ranks amongst the best in college baseball. Stevens does throw a firm changeup at 84 mph but it’s not nearly as effective. Pounding the zone with all three, he’s ready to move quickly if given the opportunity at the next level. There’s a chance he could move to the rotation as a pro.
