Sdao pitched as a high-volume reliever for Texas A&M in 2023 and 2024. He was dominant in his 2024 sophomore season, posting a 2.96 ERA over 48.2 innings with a 28.4% strikeout rate and just a 4.6% walk rate. Sdao had Tommy John surgery following the 2024 season, which kept him out entirely in 2025. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound lefthander could still go in a good spot on draft day because of his exciting combination of strikes, stuff and future projection. Sdao works from the first base side of the rubber and creates a more extreme angle to the plate by doing so, with a quick arm and a three-quarters slot. Before his elbow injury in 2024 he averaged around 93 mph with his fastball and touched 97 while pumping it into the zone for strikes more than 70% of the time. Sdao’s low-80s sweeping slider is his best pitch, and a breaking ball he uses as his primary secondary against both lefties and righties. He also throws a mid-80s changeup that looks like a reliable third pitch to keep hitters off-balance. He’s been an above-average strike-thrower in college, which could lead to opportunities in a full-time starting role in pro ball once he returns to the mound. -

A 6-foot-2 lefthander with room to fill out, Sdao was excellent this season for the Aggies and worked a 2.96 ERA with 55 strikeouts to only nine walks across 48.2 innings. He has a short arm stroke and attacks from a high-three quarter slot with present arm speed. Sdao’s fastball sits 92-95, but it has been up to 96 and 97 with ride. It is best in the top-half of the strike zone, where it will get over the barrel of opposing hitters. Sdao’s low-80s slider is his bread-and-butter pitch. It flashes plus, especially against lefthanders, with long sweeping life and a bit of depth. He has an advanced feel for the offering and this season it garnered a 44% whiff rate. Sdao’s changeup is a little bit of a work-in-progress, but it projects as an average third pitch.
