A 6-foot-1, 190-pound outfielder, Duncan has exciting tools, athleticism and upside potential, but is still ironing out some of the roughness of his game. His speed is his most obvious tool at the moment, and his 6.35-second 60-yard dash at the 2022 East Coast Pro was the fourth-best at the event. He is a double-plus runner who should be able to become an impact defender in center field, with an arm that is also plus and should be another asset for him. His offensive game needs additional polish. He does have solid bat speed from the right side, with solid pop thanks to a strong frame that should continue to add more muscle in the future. However, he has shown a high rate of swing-and-miss and will need to improve both his pure contact skills and pitch recognition. There are a few moving parts in Duncan’s swing, with a high handset, a sizable leg kick and a bit of a hitch in his load, but his hands come through the zone rapidly and with intent to do damage. He’s been vulnerable to chasing secondaries out of the zone at times, though his bat speed should allow him to catch up to velocity at the next level. Duncan is committed to Florida State.
