A 19th-round pick of the Blue Jays in 2019 coming out of high school, Sosa transferred to South Mountain (Ariz.) JC after a year at Rutgers. He hit .337/.415/.561 this spring with South Mountain with seven steals and nine home runs in 54 games. He helped his draft stock with a strong summer in the MLB Draft League, where he hit for average and power. Sosa is athletic for a catcher with a compact frame, average raw power and a plus arm.
