School: Bishop Feehan HS, Attleboro, Mass. Committed/Drafted: Texas. Age At Draft: 18.4.
Bumila led his basketball team to a 2026 state championship while averaging 40.8 points and 20.8 rebounds per game during the playoffs, but his future is on the mound. He is one of the most talented pitchers in the 2026 prep class but missed the 2025 season after having internal brace surgery on his left elbow. While durability is a risk factor with Bumila, the 6-foot-9, 255-pound lefthander returned healthy in 2026 and has overpowered hitters with his fastball, which sits in the mid-to-upper 90s and has reached 101 mph. He gets great extension from a low release height, getting good armside run on his fastball and allowing it to jump on hitters even faster than they’re expecting. Bumila leaned extremely heavily on his fastball this spring, but when he wants to change speeds, his best secondary pitch is his changeup. It’s a changeup with good sink and separation off his fastball, projecting as a potential above-average or better pitch. The pitch that will need the most improvement is his slider. He rarely throws it in games, and when he does, it’s a pitch he hasn’t shown great feel for spin. For a young pitcher his size, Bumila pitches with an impressive ease of operation on the mound, is a solid strike-thrower for his age and attacks hitters to both sides of the plate, showing a willingness to pitch inside with his fastball far more aggressively than most high school prospects. Bumila is a Texas commit. -
