He backed out of his Tennessee commitment and made the most of his opportunity at Cleveland State JC, improving his body and showing good athletic ability, strength and hitting ability. He's a year removed from a hamate bone injury that hampered him last spring, and he played with good energy behind the plate while hitting .353 with 14 home runs.
