Brent Morel is trying not to get too far ahead of himself. But his September audition with the White Sox could lead to a spot on the 2011 team. Morel, a third baseman from Cal Poly taken in the third round of the 2008 draft, figures to receive strong consideration from the White Sox for a position that rotated between Mark Teahen, Omar Vizquel and Dayan Viciedo before Morel arrived in September.

Fresh from Georgia as a 2008 first-round pick, Gordon Beckham used the Arizona Fall League as a springboard to jump to the big leagues in his first full season as a pro. Jordan Danks also joined the White Sox in the 2008 draft, and is hoping to duplicate Beckham's path to U.S. Cellular Field.
