Prospect Report: Spencer Strider Continues Dealing For Braves
Spencer Strider, RHP, Braves –Strider pitched five innings with three hits and one run allowed, one walk and four strikeouts to earn the win in the Braves 13-1 rout of the Mets. The 23-year-old righthander now has 142 strikeouts in only 94.2 innings this year and is holding opponents to a .184 batting average.
Vinnie Pasquantino, 1B, Royals – Pasquantino hit his fifth home run in seven games on Monday night, hitting a two-run homer in the first inning to get the Royals out to an early lead in their 4-2 loss to the Twins. The hulking slugger was named the American League Player of the Week earlier in the day and is now batting .301/.360/.531 after a 6-for-40 start to his career.
Bryson Stott, SS, Phillies –Stott went 3 for 5 out of the leadoff spot to lead the Phillies to a 4-3 win over the Reds. Stott extended his hitting streak to eight games with the effort and is now batting .316 with an .846 OPS since July 12.
