Prospect Report: Josh Jung Hits 10th Homer, Takes Sole Possession of Rookie Lead
Josh Jung, 3B, Rangers: Jung went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs in the Rangers’ 6-4 loss to the Pirates on Monday. The home run was Jung’s 10th of the year, moving him ahead of James Outman for sole possession of the major league rookie home run lead.
Hunter Gaddis, RHP, Guardians: Gaddis pitched six scoreless innings with two hits allowed, one walk and four strikeouts to pick up his first career win and lead the Guardians to a 3-0 win over the White Sox. The 2019 fifth-round pick allowed only one runner past first base and combined with four relievers on a three-hit shutout.
Corey Julks, OF, Astros: Julks went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and three RBIs to help lead the Astros to a 12-2 win over the Brewers on Monday night. Julks got the scoring started with a solo homer off Brewers ace Corbin Burnes that traveled 401 feet and added a two-run double in the eighth inning to cap the scoring. He has recorded a hit in five of his last seven games and is now batting .269 on the year.
