MLBPA Announces Free Instructional Site For Youth Players

The Major League Baseball Players Association and the United Sports Speciality Association (USSSA) announced on Monday that they are jointly producing “The Players Way” a new online instructional resource for youth baseball and softball players.

The Players Way is a free online resource where players can get tips from MLB players on fitness, conditioning and stretching. There will also be baseball and softball drills that can be done in and around a player's home.

The focus of many of the drills is to provide help through a wide array of tips for young players just getting into baseball and softball. Videos are available at

“This partnership unites our Major League players and former professional players with the amateur baseball community on a far more fundamental and substantive level than ever before,” MLBPA Executive Director Tony Clark said in a press release. “It creates an exciting and unique platform for our members to work with the next generation of young players and share their inside knowledge about the game and how it can and should be played.”
