College Baseball Rankings Top 25 For May 28

Oregon State finished the regular season with a sweep of Abilene Christian to extend its winning streak to 16 games and retain the top spot in Baseball America’s Top 25, powered by Louisville Slugger. It is Oregon State’s 10th straight week at No. 1.

The Beavers finish the regular season at 49-4 and set a program record for the most regular-season victories. Oregon State went 15-0 in May, giving it its second undefeated month this season, along with a 15-0 March.

North Carolina and Texas Tech again follow Oregon State, while Louisiana State climbs to No. 4 after sweeping through the Southeastern Conference Tournament. Florida, which shared the SEC regular-season title with LSU, rounds out the top five.

Three new teams enter the Top 25 this week. Florida State, the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament champion, leads the newcomers at No. 15. Texas, which reached the Big 12 Conference Tournament final, follows at No. 21, and Florida Gulf Coast, the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament champion, enters at No. 24. All three teams have been ranked previously this season.

Falling out of the Top 25 this week are Michigan, St. John’s and Oklahoma.

The Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference lead all conferences with six teams in the rankings. The Big 12 and Pac-12 Conference follow with three teams each.

The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings. Records indicated are through May 28 and do not include ties.
