Brewers Announce Area Code Tryout Dates

The Milwaukee Brewers, whose 2015 team consisted of All-Area Code Team players such as Blake Rutherford (Chaminade College Prep, Canoga, Calif.), Reggie Lawson (Victor Valley High, Victorville, Calif.) and Kevin Gowdy (Santa Barbara (Calif.) High), have announced their 2016 tryout schedule.

The Brewers will also have an underclass team for the first time.

The Brewers will be hosting the top players from Southern California at their tryouts and at the Area Code Games. The top players will be invited to play in the five-day Area Code Baseball Games from Aug. 6-10 at Blair Field in Long Beach. The top underclass prospects from Southern California will play in the Area Code Baseball Underclass Games on Aug. 10-12. The Brewers will be covering SoCal as well as Hawaii and the four-corner states.

Wednesday, July 6: at Westmont College (Montecito, Calif.), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, July 7: at Westmont College (Montecito, Calif.), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Underclass tryout
Thursday, July 14: at University of Southern California (Los Angeles), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
