FAVORITE THING ABOUT BASEBALL One of my favorite things about baseball is the friendships that I have made in the dugouts and on the fields. From high school to traveling around the country, I have met some elite-level players. Another favorite thing about baseball is that I enjoy the intense focus of the one-on-one competition with the pitcher, the catcher, and chasing the balls down in the outfield.

FAVORITE PLAYER Curtis Granderson is my favorite player because not only is he a great player, but he plays with enthusiasm

WHO HAS THE NASTIEST PITCH IN BASEBALL Max Scherzer and his two-seamer

PREGAME RITUAL A a lot of stretching and listening to music

FAVORITE BASEBALL MEMORY On of my favorite baseball memories occurred this year winning the 2016 Area Code Home Run Derby as I entered the finals with one of my good friends, Royce Lewis. Representing my team was an honor and my teammates on the White Sox were hyped.

FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST Lil Uzi Vert

IF YOU WEREN’T A BASEBALL PLAYER, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING I would coach because I love being around kids who love baseball.

WORDS TO LIVE BY Be the Change! To me, this means to not be afraid to do things differently if what you’re doing is not working.

IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH ANY 3 PEOPLE (ALIVE OR DEAD), WHO WOULD THEY BE
1. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
2. Willie Mays
3. President Obama

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY DOING TO PREPARE FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL SEASON: To prepare for the high school season, I’m playing an aggressive fall schedule, and I’m training 6 days a week with nationally renowned, baseball trainer Eric Hammer.

FAVORITE PERSON TO FOLLOW ON SOCIAL MEDIA I follow Kyle Lewis because he’s such a great person and he’s been through the process.

IF YOU WERE A GM AND COULD PICK ONE PLAYER TO START YOUR FRANCHISE WITH, WHO WOULD IT BE I would select Mike Trout because he is just a great player in all facets of the game.

FAVORITE GUILTY PLEASURE SONG TO SING IN YOUR CAR “Back On My Feet,” by Kodak Black

WHAT WOULD YOUR WALK UP/WALK OUT SONG BE RIGHT NOW “Wonderful,” by Travis Scott

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WHEN YOU HEAR “MAKE BASEBALL FUN AGAIN” I think they are talking about the changes that are coming in baseball where you will see more and more high-end athletes who are not just talented, but enjoy and respect all areas of the game.

IF YOU WERE THE COMMISSIONER OF THE MLB, WHAT IS ONE CHANGE YOU WOULD MAKE TO THE LEAGUE I would implement a policy where every student in grades 12 and under have free entry into any MLB park. Baseball is a kids’ game and we have got to keep all kids a part of it.

WHAT IS CURRENTLY YOUR FAVORITE SHOW Criminal Minds

ROLE MODELS OUTSIDE OF BASEBALL My parents because they are hard workers who have encouraged me from the start.

FAVORITE PREGAME MEAL Any type of pasta

WHAT IS YOUR X FACTOR My X Factor is my athleticism because it helps me create speed and power which is important in the game of baseball.
