Peyton Battenfield, RHP, Double-A Akron (Indians)—Battenfield, who was acquired by the Indians in a trade deadline deal from the Rays for outfielder Jordan Luplow and righthander DJ Johnson, has excelled in his first year of full-season ball between High-A and Double-A, but he saved his best start for Game 1 of the Double-A Northeast playoffs. The 24-year-old righthander pitched a season-high seven innings while allowing one run on one hit, a solo home run by Jordan Westburg, and striking out 10 to earn the win.

Drew Ellis, 3B, Triple-A Reno (Diamondbacks)—The 25-year-old third baseman made his big league debut this season, collecting nine hits in 69 at-bats before a demotion to Triple-A on Sept. 10. Ellis has been on fire since returning to Reno, with 18 hits in 45 at-bats (.400), six home runs and 20 RBIs. On Tuesday he collected five hits in five at-bats, including three doubles and a triple, scored four times and drove in five.

Kyle Harrison, LHP, Low-A San Jose (Giants)—The 20-year-old lefthander struck out six over 6.1 innings of one-run ball while allowing four hits and a walk to earn the win over Fresno in Game 1 of the Low-A West playoffs. Harrison, a 2020 third-rounder, turned in a stellar pro debut, with a 4-3, 3.19 mark and 157 strikeouts and 52 walks in 98.2 innings.

Jeremy Pena, SS, Triple-A Sugar Land (Astros)—The 2018 third-rounder from Maine missed the majority of the 2021 season after having surgery on his left wrist, but he's impressed since returning to the field in mid August. On Tuesday he turned in his first three-homer game, driving in five in a win over Albuquerque. The 24-year-old shortstop is hitting .341/.393/.683 with a career-high eight home runs in just 20 games at Triple-A.

Alek Thomas, OF, Triple-A Reno (D-backs)—Thomas hit his way out of Double-A by mid August and has been even better since arriving in Triple-A, with a .371/.431/.685 slash line and 21 extra-base hits in 28 games. On Tuesday the 21-year-old outfielder turned in his second consecutive four-hit game, extending his hit streak to seven games.
