Jose Siri, OF, Astros – Siri made his first career start Monday and made it one to remember. Siri went 4-for-5 and hit his first two career homers in the Astros’ 15-1 win over the Rangers. The 25-year-old outfielder hit a two-run homer off A.J Alexy in the third inning for his first career home run and hit a solo homer off Hyeon-jong Yang in the eighth to cap Houston’s scoring. Neither of his blasts were cheap shots, either. Siri’s first home run traveled 413 feet and left his bat at 105.7 mph, per Statcast, and his second homer went 424 feet and clocked a 106.7 mph exit velocity.

Hunter Brown, RHP, Triple-A Sugar Land (Astros) – Brown received a promotion to Triple-A on July 31 and has handled the higher level of competition just fine. Brown improved to 5-0, 4.08 at Triple-A with six sharp innings for Sugar Land in a 4-2 win over Round Rock. Brown allowed five hits and two runs, walked one and struck out six to earn the victory and remain undefeated at the minors’ highest level. Most importantly, the high-octane righthander is consistently throwing strikes. After running into control issues at the end of August, Brown has walked just three batters in 14 innings so far in September.

Luke Raley, OF, Triple-A Oklahoma City (Dodgers) – Raley made his major league debut this season and got into 30 games with the Dodgers, mostly as a pinch-hitter or defensive replacement. While he didn’t get the consistent at-bats to show what he can do offensively in the majors, he’s leaving no doubt his ability to hit remains intact in Triple-A. Raley went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs to lead Oklahoma City to a 12-2 win over Salt Lake. Raley led off the game with a home run in the top of the first, added an RBI single in the second, singled home another run in the sixth and drew a bases-loaded walk in the eighth. Overall, he is now batting .303 with 16 homers and 62 RBIs in 63 games for OKC with a .993 OPS.

Jose Godoy, C, Triple-A Tacoma (Mariners) – Godoy earned a measure of notoriety when he became the 20,000th player in major league history earlier this season. He’s been back at Triple-A Tacoma since mid June and has quietly put together a solid season for the Rainiers. Godoy went 3-for-3 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI to lead Tacoma to an 8-4 win over Sacramento in the first game of a doubleheader on Monday. It was his second consecutive three-hit game.
