Baseball America Prospect Report—April 27, 2021

Tejay Antone, RHP, Reds —Antone came up big for the Reds in relief, pitching three scoreless innings and picking up the win in a 5-3 victory over the Dodgers in 10 innings. Antone didn’t allow a hit, although he did walk two batters and hit two. The 27-year-old righthander lowered his ERA to 0.66 over seven relief appearances this season.

Trevor Rogers, LHP, Marlins —The 23-year-old rookie continued his run of dominance with six scoreless innings, no walks and seven strikeouts to lead the Marlins to an 8-0 win over the Brewers on Monday night. Rogers improved to 3-1, 1.29 in five starts with the outing and leads all rookies with 38 strikeouts. He has pitched 13 consecutive scoreless innings and has allowed only two runs combined in his last four starts.

Jazz Chisholm, 2B, Marlins —While Rogers continued to dazzle on the mound, Chisholm continued to star at the plate for Miami. Chisholm went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored to raise his season slash line to .279/.367/.544. He now has a hit in 11 of his last 14 games and his .911 OPS ranks sixth among qualified rookies.

Adolis Garcia, OF, Rangers —On the same day he was named AL Player of the Week, Garcia went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored to extend his hitting streak to five games and his on-base streak to seven games. He is now batting .269/.309/.615 on the year, and his .924 OPS ranks fourth among qualified rookies.
