Baseball America Is Looking For A Writer To Cover College Baseball

Baseball America College Writer

Baseball America has an immediate opening for a writer to help with our college coverage. The position involves writing news and feature stories about college baseball throughout the year for Baseball America magazine and BaseballAmerica.com, as well as assisting with our weekly Top 25 rankings and podcast. The position also involves helping to compile information that goes into Baseball America’s draft and prospect rankings and writing scouting reports.

The ideal fit for this position is someone who loves baseball and is keenly attuned to the college game. The candidate should have a healthy curiosity about the players, coaches, trends and day-to-day developments in college baseball and an ability to explain what they learn to readers. The ability to work as part of a team is essential, as the position involves closely working with Baseball America’s primary college writer and the draft team.

Experience working in or around baseball is an asset but not required. At least one to two years of experience as a writer is preferred.

This is a full-time position based out of our office in Durham, N.C. Apply by sending a résumé, two to three clips and an explanation of why you would be a good addition to our college coverage to jobs@baseballamerica.com. Inquiries may be addressed to J.J. Cooper, Executive Editor.
