Arizona Fall League Prospect Report -- October 9, 2019
Jose Azocar, CF, Tigers. Azocar had a base knock in three at-bats for Mesa while patrolling center field. The outfielder has played far more right field than center field as a member of the Tigers’ organization. Even so, his plus arm and sound range fit the bill for either spot in the outfield.
Luis Garcia, SS, Nationals. Garcia collected three hits in five at-bats for Surprise on Tuesday. He had three base hits including a two-run single in the third inning followed by another RBI knock in the eighth. Garcia didn’t put up a gaudy slash line against Eastern League pitching this season but has hit very well in the Arizona Fall League. He is now hitting .378/.423/.511 with five extra-base hits in 11 games.
Greyson Jenista, 1B, Braves. Jenista had three hits in four at-bats for Scottsdale. The first baseman had two singles and a double while driving in a run and scoring once. Jenista patrolled the outfield for high Class A Florida this year, but has strictly played first base during his time with the Scorpions.
